I vividly remember listening to my college discipler, Christy, tell stories of her mission trips to Kenya and how she, along with other missionaries, trusted God daily as they shared the love of God with the people there!
Weekly, she would lead our small Bible study with a baby in her lap and each of us taking turns reading and discussing scripture. I recall her probing deeper about the guy I was dating and if we were keeping our relationship pure.
One afternoon I showed up to her house after she, 6 months pregnant, had decided to rip the carpet out of her house by herself and declare she was going to paint the concrete! She was determined, eccentric, and loved Jesus. She was so excited for me when I was accepted onto my first mission trip to Egypt as a junior in college. As the deadline to pay for the trip approached, I called her in tears as I did not have enough financial support to go. She promptly got on the phone to her family and helped me raise the rest. She cared for me, she was my cheerleader, she was a model of a godly woman and mother. She taught me the Bible and what it meant to walk by faith. My life was changed because another person cared for me, made time for me, and spurred me on in my walk with God.

Since that year in college back in 1992, by God’s grace, I have been discipling women in various capacities for over 27 years. I have deeply loved being their cheerleader, teaching them the Bible, and modeling what it means to walk by faith. From leading women’s ministries, running a discipleship home, and training hundreds of women in discipleship, it is now my passion to help others experience the joy of discipleship. My life’s work, my calling, is to help the global body of Christ reach others with the life-changing message of hope and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ and help them disciple others in their faith.

Discipleship Coaching
Being a discipleship coach gives me the opportunity to understand where your ministry is (whether it is just you or a large-scale church or ministry and everything in-between) and how I can help you move forward in discipleship.
Below are three current opportunities for discipleship coaching. |
1. The Time Is Now Weekend Retreat
Is your women’s group ready to begin a discipleship program? If you need to start from scratch or just need a tune up, this is the retreat you need. Over the course of a weekend (4 talks total), I will lovingly take out ALL the guesswork in getting the discipleship ball rolling. With tons of stories from my real-life experience over the years, the attendees will be inspired to disciple to others and learn the basic nuts and bolts. Attendees receive a training manual and their own copy of Start Here.

2. The Girl Next Door 8 Week Discipleship Series
The Girl Next Door has similar content to the weekend retreat but expanded. The first hour is lecture with me where I teach, train and share stories of discipleship. The attendees gain valuable, easily transferable and immediately applicable, tools to disciple others. During the second hour the ladies are divided into small groups to go through my book Start Here Six Foundational Lessons for Growth in Christ. Attendees receive a training manual and their own copy of Start Here.

3. One-on-One Consulting
Are you hitting some roadblocks or just have some questions about discipleship or your discipleship ministry? I would love to hear more about what you are doing, how it is working for you, and where I could lend some support and help. We can set up a time to visit for me to hear more about your discipleship journey and where I can offer some guidance and encouragement.
